Program

Vikalp executes an end to end program for Experiential Learning in Mathematics for Primary Classes (K-5) for its customers. We believe that every customer is unique and we need to customize the program to create minimal operational effort at the same time deliver high quality experiential learning solution specifically for mathematics.

We understand the need of every school and suggest models as per the curriculum followed, schools pedagogy and students and parents demographics.

As per the requirement the models are differentiated in two broad categories:

  • Within Class Engagement: In this model the experiential learning is integrated in classroom itself and the learning and impact is more focused with individual attention to each child.
  • Beyond Class Engagement: In this model the learning is segregated from classroom and is utilized as reinforcement for academic learning.

Individual Learning:

This is an end to end to program where each and every student owns a kit (Vikalp Manipulatives) to facilitate learning both at school and outside the school. It is complete and extensive solution. The program Includes:

  • Vikalp Manipulatives for Each student
  • Quarterly Facilitators Enrichment
  • Activity Plans (Lesson Plans)
  • Worksheets
  • Comprehensive Assessment
  • Kaleidoscopic Workshops for out of class learning through theaters, puppet show etc.
  • Parent Orientation and continuous engagement

Team Learning:

This program focusses on learning to be facilitated at school and is part of daily classroom activity. The manipulative are owned and utilized in groups in classroom situation. The ideal system is 1:2 (Buddy System). The inclusions in this engagement model are:

  • Vikalp Manipulatives (In ratio of 1:2 with maximum suggested ratio of 1:4 with adequate seating plan) per “section”.
  • Quarterly Facilitators Enrichment
  • Lesson Plans
  • Worksheets
  • Comprehensive Assessment

Assessment:

In this program the school chooses to utilize our capabilities of Assessment and highly researched worksheets to assess the academic learning. It is part of the teaching strategy practiced in classroom. The inclusions in this are:

  • Assessment
  • Worksheets

Math Activity Center:

This is again an end to end to program. It is complete and extensive solution for students who volunteer to enroll in program for experiential learning reinforcements beyond class room situation, as part of school activity. The inclusions are:

  • Vikalp Manipulatives for Each student
  • Dedicated Facilitators Enrichment
  • Activity Plans (Lesson Plans)
  • Worksheets
  • Comprehensive Assessment
  • Parent Orientation and continuous engagement

Math Lab:

This is model where the experiential learning is incorporated in curriculum as activities in discovery room or math lab. Students learn different concepts in the lab is used as reinforcement of academic learning. The inclusions in this models are:

  • Vikalp Manipulatives (In ratio of 1:2 with maximum suggested ratio of 1:4 with adequate seating plan) “per class”.

  • Worksheets
