Handwriting for Kindergarten is the second part of Vikalp Writing series. This writing book attempts to make writing a pleasant task for little ones.  Special emphasis is on the following: –

  • Capital letters are used for writing the days of the week, the month of the year, the name of children and the beginning of a sentence.
  • In the sentences chosen, the simple present tense of the verbs is used. On the opposite page, the same sentence is repeated, but the verbs are changed into simple past tense. This helps in speaking short, correct sentences.
  • English is written left to right and words are denoted by spaces between them. However, there are also spaces between letters.
  1. Space between letters should be equal.
  2. Space between the words should be also equal.
